Here is a little History

I started working in my father’s sewing machine and vacuum cleaner store in Lantana Fl. in 1986. I enjoy helping customers learn to sew and use their sewing machine.

I can service most models of sewing machines and we do it right in our shop. Our Sewing machine selection includes many top models from all over the world.

With our experience, we can help you make a wise decision when purchasing a new machine. We opened Stuart Sewing and Vacuum Center in 2009. We are the 3rd generation in our family in the

Sewing and Vacuum business. We sell and service
sewing machines and offer sewing lessons and machine instructions.

We are now proud Grandparents of two Beautiful Girls. That's what has brought us to Fayetteville NC. We closed our Fla location and opened here to be close to our Children and Grandchildren.

We raised our children in Winston-Salem and worked for the local dealer there for 16 years. North Carolina is truly home.

I love to help people find a machine that is just right for them. I also love to help you learn and understand how to use what you bought. I really want to encourage and inspire sewers and hobbyists to reach new heights and give it there all.

Anita
Sewing Educator
A former high school science teacher. At her happiest when being creative, she really enjoys making any pattern and project her own with personal touches and twists. One of her great passions is helping others to realize their own creative potential. bought my first sewing machine - a used Singer 403a for $100 - when I was a teenager in the mid 1970s. I started out by making doll cloths and craft projects. By 1982 I was sewing my own clothes and quilting - machine piecing and hand quilting. I spent the 1990's mostly quilting. In the mid 2000's I was back to making doll clothes for AG dolls along with quilting. I must admit that quilting continues to be my greatest sewing passion. I moved from hand quilting to machine quilting and finally graduated to a long arm with the purchase of my Handi Quilter.
